South African Meat Products Limited, a family run business was established in August 2003 because of a need to supply
our own family and friends with authentic, quality and traditional Boerewors and biltong.
We were able to purchase these
products daily from every supermarket, butchery and food store in South Africa but here in the UK it was a major search
to find a supplier, and once found, the quality and authenticity was generally of a low standard.
Ordering via the internet
brought many disappointments and frustrations.

Our business has grown at an incredible rate and now resides in a modern and purpose built factory in Petersfield - Hampshire,
with a production capacity of "tons" per week of Boerewors, biltong, drywors and our other products.
Our MISSION however remains
simply to supply our products to the same exacting standard as we expected for our own food - using only the finest meat and
ingredients available.

Our Boerewors spice is blended in the UK to our own exacting and secret recipe by a leading spice blending company, and conforms
in all respects to traditional Boerewors in South Africa.

South African Meat Products produce biltong and chilli bites using only top grade and best quality silverside of beef which is
marinated in spices produced in South Africa under strict quality control and regulation.
All meat used in the preparation of our products, including venison, ostrich, crocodile, poultry and South African antelope is
sourced from reputable sustainable sources and carries vetinary approval.
Most of our suppliers have provided the raw materials
for our growing market and products for over three years.

By expanding our market, it is our wish to make these products as readily available to our country folk as well as the greater
UK population as they were to us in Southern Africa.
